I am happy to report that since I received my nifty Spider Catcher – which was the Gold Medal Winner at the Geneva Inventors Fair – I have used it twice: once on a little brown cob, and once on a bigger brownish-whitish creepy crawly speedy spider that may or may not have been a baby brown recluse. I don't know because I tried hard not to look too closely.
However, it turns out this spider-catching thing is not as easy as it looks, and I ended up chasing the little brown cob across the floor. Yes, it is too bad we didn't get that on video. It's all in the wrist, no doubt. Luckily I will be able to practice my technique with the big plastic black spider that was included in the package. (Every time it catches my eye I jump a little.) Onwards and upwards!
