I picked up some paint swatches and paint brochures when we were at the hardware store last weekend, flipped through them and found a handy tip. If you're planning to paint the outside of your house, you might be wondering what to paint first. The garage? The walls? The trim? Nope. Apparently, there's an order to these things, and it goes like this:
- Eaves
- Fascia (the front-facing surface of trim on a house above the soffit (the finished underside of the eaves) but below the roofline)
- Walls
- Trim (door and garage door trim, windows, shutters)
- Doors/Garage
