I finished priming the Yoda Room last week, and started pulling up the carpet-beneath-the-carpet. What we were left with was yellow underlay glued to the concrete floor. I tried my handy itsy-bitsy razor scraper on it, but after about an hour and one blister, this was the progress I’d made:
Next, I googled my way around the interwebs and found out that after someone tried a zillion chemical products, that someone’s neighbor told her to throw some boiling water on the underlay, let it sit for 5-10 minutes, and then scrape it off with a wide hand scraper – and it worked, said this someone. So I’m going to try that next.
What did we do before the interwebs? Oh that’s right. I guess we talked to the neighbors.
