Moving Day in the garden happened last weekend, when it was beautifully sunny and warm out. The birds chattered and the dog slept in dappled shade while plants traveled to and fro.
The clematis got moved to a new spot before too much growth was out. A groundcover rose got moved next to it. The rosebush by the pond (photo from last summer) got moved down to the lowest level of the garden, against the fence.
And the little Japanese maple tree (photo from last year) that was squished between rocks at the lower pond and had no place to stretch its toes got moved to where the rosebush was, by the upper pond, right next to a lovely big zen rock that it had been making eyes at for years. Proof that happiness comes to those who wait, even when you think you’re scrunched up and stuck in one spot for good.
